Anya is a children’s book author and illustrator. She has university restoration and painting degree in Moscow institute. She worked as a restorer of icons and paintings in Moscow museums. After she bore two children, she decided to concentrate her efforts on what she enjoyed the most all her life - drawing. She received individual training from two teachers from Anglia Ruskin University and Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design (UK).

 

Anya has always loved to draw pictures with many details – it seems restoration taught her perseverance. Now she works in children’s book publishing and editorial.

 

Anya cooperated with international clients including: publishing house Abrakazyabra from Moscow, Circle by Circle montessori brand (Taiwan), Zoological museum of Moscow Univercity, charitable organization helping women Nasiliu.Net (No To Violence), human rights organization OVD-info, feminist group FAR, clothing and souvenir brand (Latvia).

 

She has several completed projects of picture books. Apart from making children’s books, she loves creating patterns, cute and funny and loving images for magazines. Also she produces children's and ladies' apparel with her own patterns.

 

Anya wants her little readers to get a smile and empathy when they look at her illustrations or read her stories. She says: “I love it when children laugh at my pictures”. Two of her kids, Teo and Geo, inspire her to create new funny and hilarious illustrations.
